Body Mass Index vs Body Fat Percentage as a Predictor of Mortality in Adults Aged 20-49 Years

This study examines whether BMI, body fat percentage, or waist size are linked to mortality rates. The researchers accounted for differences in age, poverty level, and race, but they did not account for sex. Since men and women have different body compositions and mortality patterns, this is an important factor to consider. The study's conclusions might still be correct, but without accounting for sex differences, we can't be certain the findings are reliable.
